A Brief introduction of Dingxi City  The city of Dingxi, which is also called “Longzhong”, is located in the middle of Gansu Province. Since ancient times, it has been an important town along the silk Road. And now it is an essential place through which the new Eurasia Bridge goes. Dingxi has a total population of over 2.961.000, covering an area of 20.330 square kilometers, and the annual average temperature here is about 10 degrees centigrade, the altitude from 1.400 meters to 3.940 meters. The government of the city has one borough and six counties under its jurisdiction. Dingxi is the pivot for transportation in Gansu, only 98 kilometers away from Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu, so the living and traveling here are very convenient.A brief Introduction of Dingxi No.1 Middle School   Dingxi No.1 Middle school was built in 1941.In 1955, the school was defined as a key middle school in Gansu Province, and in 2004 it was given another name, “Gansu Demonstration common High School” by the Provincal Education Hall. This school covers an area of 203 Mu, in which there are four classroom buildings, three dormitory buildings, a lab building, a teaching research building and a flat building of experts. At present the school area is the largest among all middle schools in Gansu Province.  Many different kinds of trees and flowers grow everywhere in the beautiful campus. So it is believed that it is a good place for students and teachers to work and live in. Dingxi No.1 Middle School has rich teaching resources. For example, it has a library, two reading rooms, a center of the internet, eight laboratories and three computer classrooms. There are more than 180 teachers and 3.000 students in this school.
